Religious recognitions in Europe and worldwide

The courts across Europe have ruled that Scientology must be treated the same way as other religions. These decisions include those delivered by the European Court of Human Rights that have established a binding precedent in all 46 countries that have signed and ratified the European Convention on Human Rights.

Since 1954, when he founded the first Church of Scientology religion has grown to about 10 million members and is present through its churches, missions and groups in over 150 countries worldwide. Most EU countries do not have a registration system of the religions within its legal structure (or even a form of official religious recognition). Among the countries that have a registration procedure have recognized Scientology as religion: Sweden, Portugal, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Albania. The majority of states' EU have other forms of recognition. Many of them Scientology was recognized as a religion through administrative and judicial decisions, including Supreme Court decisions. These decisions include among others: Italy, Denmark, Austria, Germany, United Kingdom and Norway. There are many other awards judicial, administrative, and through registration in other countries. Some examples of these Awards are: USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Nepal, Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Taiwan, Venezuela, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Brazil, India, Philippines and many others. In addition to these decisions, Scientology has been recognized as a religion from a number of judicial and administrative rulings in many European countries. In the articles that follow in the coming months, one at a time, will present the most significant religious awards obtained by the quest for Scientology. The intention of this section is to provide a wild Survey stability and the spread of the religion of Scientology, presenting facts and official documents of international scope. These recognitions range from those directly connected with the religion of scientology and those attributed to the many social campaigns.
